Claudia Schreiber

Claudia Schreiber is a  volunteer director and holds the position as president of the Board of Trustees of the nonprofit organization Adaptive Technologies Foundation. She will lead meetings of the Board, vote on board issues and participate in fundraising. Claudia Schreiber is a retired business owner who has decided to make advocacy for blind and visually impaired individuals a  mission. She currently acts as a facilitator for peer support groups, is an invited motivational speaker and leads art workshops for the visually impaired. Claudia has a Bachelor of science in Art and Social work from New York University. Claudia will volunteer her time as needed, and will receive no compensation for her work.

Douglas Winthrop

Mr. Douglas Winthrop is a volunteer director.  A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in accounting from Adelphi University, Mr. Winthrop received his certification as a public accountant in 1979.  After losing a significant portion of his vision due to retinitis pigmentosa in 1985 he has continued to consult with business and individual tax clients. Almost twenty years ago Mr. Winthrop began working more independently as adaptive equipment became available to assist him with his clients and in his daily routines at home.

As recording secretary for the organization, Mr. Winthrop’s duties are spelled out in the by-laws.  These duties will include attending meetings of the Board of Directors and voting on board decisions.  He will be responsible for the meeting minutes, corporate book and corporate seal, and to ensure that all board members are apprised of all meetings.  He will volunteer his time in accordance with that needed by the organization.

Chris Flynn

Mr. Chris Flynn is a volunteer director.  He is a technology sales executive with 26 years in the industry. Primarily focused on the software sector, Chris has extensive experience providing solutions to some of the most challenging problems that the Fortune 500 has dealt with over the last 2 decades. His experience and leadership in managing teams and developing relationships with C level executives will serve the board well. In his personal life, Chris has supported multiple charities per year.
